 Greetings!

It’s already November, and we are in full swing with coalition activities. This month brings National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week (Nov. 15-21). The Heart of Texas Homeless Coalition and the McLennan County Hunger Coalition will join forces to increase awareness of these two issues statewide. Be watching your inbox and our Facebook page for ways you can become involved. A few ways are listed in this newsletter!

Our next meeting will be November 20th at the City of Waco Transit Offices located at 301 S. 8th Street. Invite a friend! Lunch is provided and begins at 11:45 a.m. with the meeting to follow. This month’s meeting coincides with the Food for Families Food Drive. In case you can’t get by the donation location, our monthly meeting will be a drop-off point for your non-perishable food items! We’ve had specific requests for pop-top, microwaveable food and for canned meats.  Your donations are greatly appreciated!

We have a busy November planned with lots of ways to serve the homeless in our community. If you’d like to help and don’t know quite where to serve, call or e-mail anytime!

See you at the meeting!
