Welcome to the December issue of the Heart of Texas Homeless Coalition’s e-newsletter! The holidays are upon us and so are numerous ways to serve those living in homelessness and poverty in Waco and the surrounding counties.  It’s Time to Renew!

December is membership renewal month at the Heart of Texas Homeless Coalition! Be watching your inbox for your 2010 membership application.

All proceeds earned go toward ending homelessness in Central Texas and to the work of the Heart of Texas Homeless Coalition. Project Homeless Connect 2010

We are gearing up for PHC 2010! This year’s event will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2010 from 9 a.m. until noon at Acts Christian Fellowship. We are excited to working with Acts for another year! If you would like to be involved with the planning process, please contact Michael Ormsby, our committee chair, at michael.ormsby@va.gov.
 
 
 
 

Thank you!

Thank you to all those who brought canned goods to our November meeting for the Food for Families Food Drive! With your donations, we were able to send a trunk load of food to the donation center! This was the Friday event for our first National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week daily activities. Next year’s awareness week is already in the planning stages! If you would like to help plan for next year or to learn more about the events that will take place, please contact Chelle at chelles@ci.waco.tx.us or call her at 254-750-5967..
