The Continuum of Care Sub-Committee met on December 3, 2013 and approved the evaluation tool that will be used to rank all renewal projects in the FY2013/2014 CoC Competition. HUD estimates that approximately $1.7 billion will be available for the FY2013 Competition. This amount is not adequate to fund all existing projects eligible for renewal. As a result, HUD will not fund any new program with the exception of new programs funded through reallocation for the following programs: 1) Permanent Supportive Housing for chronic homeless individuals, 2) Rapid Re-Housing for Families. The Heart of Texas Homeless Coalition is now accepting applications for new projects (funded only through reallocation). The deadline to submit a per-proposal application is January 3, 2014.
