The next Project Homeless Connect is January 29, 2019, at First Baptist Church Waco from 9am-12pm.
Project Homeless Connect is sponsored by the Heart of Texas Homeless Coalition, The City of Waco, and the Department of Veteran Affairs to provide a one day one-stop shop of services and resources for those experiencing homelessness in our community. The next event will take place on January 29th, and will be hosted by First Baptist Church of Waco from 9am-12pm. Our goal is to provide convenient access to community resources to help facilitate movement out of homelessness. A hot lunch will be provided to our homeless consumers. Services offered include: Employment Assistance • Haircuts • Health & Vision Screenings • HIV Testing • Housing Information • Hygiene Items • Pet Care • Social Services • Veterans Benefits • Dental Screenings and more. At PHC, we hope to not only have resources present to help people move out of homelessness but also quality of life offerings to extend kindness and compassion to our neighbors. PHC is coordinated in conjunction with our community’s Point-in-Time count of homeless in Waco and the surrounding areas, an effort that has a profound impact on the Continuum of Care funding available to our community through HUD grants to address homelessness in our area. Volunteers are also welcome to help come make the event a success. You can contact Nicole at 254-750-5777 or email@example.com if you and/or your organization would like to volunteer to participate or would like to have a table at the event.
